Bird of Paradise

The iconic tropical flower, the Bird of Paradise originates from South Africa, where it is also nicknamed the Crane Flower. I found this one in Spain. Symbolising joy, faithfulness and paradise. It gets its name from the three bright orange petals and three blue petals which are fused together into a single bud, revealing as the flower blooms,  the shape of a tropical bird in flight. ​
