Luxe Couture

J'adore couture! I love fashion, and am in awe of the time, dedication and commitment to quality and detail that goes into couture collections. This is one of the drivers that makes me commit so much time to each pattern design, so it's only fitting that I create a collection to honour my love of the fashion industry, with opulent designs that oooze luxury. Translated literally, couture is French for dressmaking, while haute means high. Haute couture refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted high-end fashion design that is constructed by hand from start to finish, but most commonly refers to or describes clothing that was designed by a fashion designer or has that level of quality. I hope you enjoy these labours of love, and enjoy making your own custom creations from these beautiful fabrics.

Valentine - Midnight

Extravagant, rich, velvety roses with full blooms and packed petals designed in this seamless pattern by Emma to create an entire ocean of flowers to adorn your home or body. These gorgeous colours are chosen to inspire joy and encourage a little decadence. Go on, treat yourself! This detailed design took weeks to complete, but is such a delight to use. Some things are just worth the time. 

Perla

This design is inspired by the dainty trims and adornments on couture clothing. Little clutches of pearls, oversized to create a dramatic statement from what is a relatively simple adornment. The muted colour palette further enhances the beauty of the soft creams and greys of the pearls themselves, and the gentle reflections in its curved sphere. I rather fancy mermaids liking this, with oyster colours reminiscent of the sea's treasures.
