It all began with a love of beauty. From humble beginnings, I didn’t have the luxury of buying things, so I took every opportunity to teach myself how to make them. From newspaper shoes, to home made dress patterns, bleached denim jackets (BROS anyone?!) to cutting and colouring my hair - I have always been determined to make my world beautiful, even on a shoestring. Necessity really has been the mother of invention, and I’ve learned so much over the years. From wedding dresses to websites, furniture to fonts,  I’ll always try to learn when the opportunity arises ...

Over time, the desire to create has become such a large part of me. How fortunate I am to have struggled! Without life’s hardships I wouldn’t be where I am today. I still live in a little flat which houses three patient people, two offices, one huge stash of art supplies and, of course, gallery walls! But I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so grateful to be able to create beautiful things every day, and make peoples lives that little bit lovelier.

The thirst for design was ignited!

Age 16 ... hard to believe that in two years I'd be a mother

This lovely man and his beautiful wife put me up for a few nights when I was without a bed and holding newborn baby. To this day they are some of the kindest people I've ever known.

As an army kid, I was used to moving regularly, but that continued on civvy street. With my dads diagnosis of Parkinsons Disease we struggled, so more moving homes. He was so brave and kind. 

I grew up with these two beautiful boys. Non Identical twins with very different personalities, they were none the less so close, and had a special bond.

My life changed dramatically
(in a good way!) with the arrival of this amazing girl. Sweet natured, kind and brave, she made being a mother so worthwhile and joyful. Although I was so young, and inexperienced then, I am forever grateful to have her in my life.

Six years later, we were gifted this amazing boy. Also super kind, energetic, passionate and driven, he brings us so much joy. He's the kind of friend everybody wants to know
